How Ya Doin', Folks?

October 10, 2007.

It was kind of a hoot in the beginning, I was just one guy who loved programming and sharing my labors of love with other people, but when I decided to go public with my software in creating Vellosoft, I thought it would be kind of fun to give my one-man venture the semblance of a much bigger entity with many employees.

Thus, in all the correspondence and ad copy I would speak of Vellosoft in the plural - "We appreciate your order", "Please send us your Software Code", "It's a new milestone and we have no one else to thank but you . . ."

Well, the thing about constantly speaking of my one-man venture in terms of "we" and "us" is that once I got into the habit of doing this year after year after year, I began to see it slipping just slightly into my every day thinking and I started to wonder if I might be conditioning myself into a mild state of schizophrenia.

Well, it's time to put all that pluralism behind and introduce Vellosoft as it really is. How ya doin', folks? My name's Mike Cornelison and we're very pleased, er . . . I'm very pleased to meet you.
